ENT Department


The Department of Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery BKMC/MMC/MTI was founded in 2009 to provide specialty ear, nose, and throat care and training. Otolaryngology is the specialty which deals with the diseases of the ear, Nose, Throat, and Head & Neck. Otolaryngology Department of is a 15 bedded unit recognized by the PGMI, KMU, PMC and CPSP for both undergraduate and Postgraduate training in the specialty of Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery all sorts of major and minor surgeries are being carried out in the Department. The department has got complete teaching faculty senior Registrar to Professor looking after patients along with undergraduate/Postgraduate training.

We will continue to provide exceptional talent in the arrears of clinical practice and research priority. As leaders in our specialty, we must provide the most up to date and innovative treatments insuring the best outcomes for our patients. Timely access timely treatment and the patients focus experience are fundamental to our cause.


To train medical students’ residents and fellows’ trough an outstanding curriculum with a vigorous clinical and surgical experience. To produce well rounded, ethical, outstanding physicians who go on to make enormous positive impacts on both the lives of their patients, their communities, and the specialty itself. We strive to conduct research with our trainees in a way that answers critical questions and fosters ideas and skill that encourages future endeavors both inside and outside of training.


Our legacy will be one of practical and translatable work that improves the lives of our patients. We aim to foster fresh ideas to address health care disparities in Otolaryngology and leverage strategic partnerships in the innovation and designs space. We will apply technological advances to enhance the delivery on health care to patients and the training of our future physicians.


To serve the local community by our excellent patients’ cares, access for patients and providers alike, and by training future Otolaryngology Head and neck surgeon who will contribute greatly to their respective communities.

Future Plan:

To help the deaf and mute children by Cochlear implants a state of the art OR (Operation theater) and Speech Therapist.
