Associate Professor Dr. Sajjad Ali is Head of Department of Pulmonology and critical care division in Mardan Medical Complex.
Dr. Sajjad Ali did his MBBS from Ayub Medical College, abbot abad in 1999-2004 and then completed his specialization (FCPS) in Pulmonology in 2013. He started his career in 2013 as a Medical Officer from Lady reading hospital peshawar. In 2015 he was selected as Assistant professor Pulmonology by public service commission for Bacha Khan Medical College mardan. In December 2020 he was Promoted to Associate Professor of Pulmonology.
Dr Sajjad Ali is a Consultant Pulmonologist and Head of Department of Pulmonology at Bacha Khan Medical College & Mardan Medical Complex, Mardan. He is also Focal Person for Covid since the beginning of corona pandemic and has developed and effective system of covid isolation units and covid ICU for receiving and management of covid patients not only from District mardan but also from other Districts. He has wast experience of treating more than 3000 covid patients till date.
He has more than 9 years’ experience in the field of Pulmonology.
He has established state of art PMDT unit with help of Provincial government for treating MDR TB patients which offer free diagnosis and treatment to these patients. He has recently established a fully functional Chest Unit which provides all modern facilities and services to the patients includimg spirometry, bronchoscopy, pleural biopsy and modern treatment facilities such as CPAP and BiPAP. Associate Professor dr sajjad ali has a keen interest in Research and has published eighteen (18) original research papers in his careers. He has participated in several National & International workshops.
Currently He is Head of Department of Pulmonology and both covid and Medical ICU. He is also supervising both drug sensitive and multidrug resistant TB programs in Mardan Medical Complex.
