Department of Psychiatry is committed to provide highest quality services that are easily accessible and cost effective. To focus on reducing mental health issues that are common like anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric disorders. To improve delivery of mental health services in this region of KPK.
Infrastructure: The department was established in 2012 and currently comprises of 02 chambers with separate male and female sections. There are 15 beds, 07 for male and 08 for female. There are 04 offices, each for professor, Associate professor, Registrar and one for House officers. There is one room for Electro convulsive therapy. Department consists of Teaching staff, psychologist, nursing staff, paramedical staff i.e. EEG & ECT, Auxiliary staff.

Research Activities: House officers, Internees, Medical Students are working on Three (03) research projects are under process.
Quality control: We are following the WHO Guidelines which are ensuring by the department itself and have quality control department in hospital.
